The housing market in our four cities
The housing market differs greatly by city. What applies in Amsterdam doesn't automatically apply in Arnhem. Below we outline the main dynamics of our four cities, so you can start your search or sale with realistic expectations.
Amsterdam
The capital has the highest prices and the tightest supply, especially inside the ring road. Characteristic canal houses and apartments in the Jordaan are popular; anyone buying here does well to act quickly and thoughtfully.
Utrecht
Utrecht combines a historic city centre with strong accessibility. Popular neighbourhoods such as Wittevrouwen and Oog in Al remain in demand, and the city keeps growing steadily - which keeps demand consistently high.
Rotterdam
Rotterdam offers relatively more space and bolder architecture. From the avenues of Kralingen to modern apartments in the centre: the city attracts both families and young professionals.
Arnhem
Arnhem is greener and more relaxed, with the Veluwe right on its doorstep. In neighbourhoods such as the Spijkerkwartier you'll find character and atmosphere at more attractive prices than in the Randstad.
